Andy first came to St. Elias Alpine Guides in 2001, returning to Alaska after working on the Kenai Peninsula and Lake Clark National Park. After touring much of Southern Alaska, Andy spied the St. Elias range from Canada, and knew that he wanted to make that his new "office".  Andy loves trekking through the backcountry of the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, exploring new terrain and sniffing out rarely visited but pristine little corners of the wilderness. He's also our backcountry cooking aficionado. Andy has visited most of the national parks in our country, but continues to return to the Wrangells because, in his own words, "it's the biggest, the baddest, the wildernessest!"
