Jake's wild red hair may catch you by surprise, especially when you get to know his quiet sense of humor and steady, reliable personality. Don't be fooled, however. Underneath the calmness is the fire that made him a very successful player in the junior hockey league of British Columbia and even got him a job offer from the Alaska's professional hockey team, the Anchorage Aces!

Prior to coming to us, Jake not only lived and breathed hocky, he also worked as a zipline guide in south-east Alaska, as a hunting guide on the south-central coast and earned his degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management from Michigan Technological University. He grew up in south-central Alaska, earned his private pilots license and is a certified Wilderness First Responder. Needless to say, Jake is a very hard worker, extremely motivated, and an exceptional member of our team.

In his typical modest and soft-spoken fashion, Jake didn't bother to tell us that he had some serious river running skills in addition to his background in hiking, climbing, hunting, fishing and hockey. Fortunately, we figured it out pretty quickly and he now splits his time between the mountains and the rivers and brings smiles and general good cheer to everyone around him.
